Default Who will attempt NaNoWriMo 2017?

I’m probably gonna give it the ol’ college fail. I wasn’t planning on it, but I accidentally had an idea during a casual conversation, and somebody pointed out that because this happened in the last week of October, it means I’m now legally obligated to use it.

I've been writing a novel since July

will probably still be writing the novel by the end of November

But I'll be writing all month! Does that count?

I may have to pull a few strings with the board of directors, but I think I can manage to keep you out of trouble for this. You owe me one, though.

Why did I sign up for this

I don't even have an outline, just a few characters I put together with the D&D5e Player's Handbook

I've always wanted to participate in this, but with my difficulty writing & all the appointments I have this is a no-go. I will cheer you all on from afar!

I just finished up Inktober. Good thing I'm terrible at writing so I can skip this one. Need some time off before Drawcember.

Probably not going to sign up and do it officially, but I do need to get back on the bandwagon and start chipping away again.

Oh yeah, fuck signing up, but I'm still gonna get some words out. I'll be posting the whole thing on my github as I go.

I've done it in the past, but I've got too much law school on my plate to even consider it this year. I still need to finish last year's, I hit the word goal but that only put me about 2/3 the way through my story.

I am doing it again this year, but I don't expect to get to 50000 words. My goal is to figure out where my webcomic goes next, so I will do a quick novelization of the first chapter, then see where the story goes from there.

Haven't written a word today yet, waiting for my computer to finish updating itself.

I'm using this strategy: I set aside a block of 60 minutes in which I must be in my writing area (bed) and am allowed to do no activity other than write. I can lie there and do nothing, or I can add content and notes. This way, either I get closer to the finish line, or I get to have a nap. Either way, I win.

Today the 60 minutes extended into 90 and I got a whopping 352 words in, after skipping right to chapter 2. Remember, you need 1667 words a day on average to win! I think that I will need more practice to avoid focusing on sentence quality. You are welcome to follow along.

Now I will sleep.

Im no narrative guy. I'll be trying to write a poem every day of the month. Then try and clean them up in December.

No idea what I'll do with them after that.

At 835 words I think I know what my antagonist is. It won't get me anywhere near 50k words, but I feel like this is a comfortable pace.

Didn't get started yet (this November half of the week has been insane), but I plan to put in some time this weekend.

Probably a stupid idea, but I want to see if I can get this done by the 15th. I'm hoping to reach 10k words today.
