Yeah, pretty much. It's easy to tell the difference between 30 and 60 (30 looks like a movie, 60 looks like it's filmed in front of a live audience), but the difference between 720p and 1080p is one most people won't notice unless they compare the two side by side.

I'd say it also depends on how big your TV/monitor is and the type of game. Also, how certain elements of the game are displayed. Size of the text, for instance.

I wonder if Sonic Forces looks the same in both docked and handheld modes. If so, they could probably have bumped up the framerate for the game with no obvious degradation in performance during docked mode.

I'm sorry, am I hearing correctly that there's some rad remix of SA2's Supporting Me in this game?

I feel like on some sort of fundamental level, this isn't a "good" game, and I know that it could have been better in a number of ways...

And yet, I can't help but love it so much, even in spite of the stuff I don't like, and I'm not even entirely sure why.

Makes it really hard to put a number on.

Sonic games are always better during the launch window.

Yup! Some sort of weird franchise thing. When the whole chain went down we still had three stores operating, but right after that they consolidated to one. It's how I played FF15! They don't have any Switch games though which I am very bummed about.
