Same here, it's a way to show my respect to the many people who worked on sth I enjoyed (I may skip them if it is sth I really disliked).

But now, not only is that information readily and easily available on the internet, but the locations usually boil down to “green screen studio in wherever” which is not as interesting.
My mom used to do that "wanting to see where it was shot" too.

Me, I prefer to be on the hunt for neat details, such as, off the top of my head, NieR's credits being in absolute alphabetical order, regardless of the role that person might've had in the game (equal opportunity credits!) or credits gags, such as this one:

I miss the credit gags in the old Zucker-Abrahams-Zucker spoofs, everything from puns to recipes to "What the hell is a grip?"

A key grip is a fancy name for the valet.

A dolly grip grabs onto a doll. Everyone knows dolls are cursed and will kill actors if left unattended.

A best boy grip grabs onto, well, the best boy.

The best boy? They're the best man, but younger.

Not always, no. Especially not if I bought a drink.

I'm surprised Funko hasn't started selling licensed adult diapers.

I like staying for the credits so I can decompress the film in my mind. If I don't stay and I have nowhere to be right away, it means the film didn't leave much of an impression on me.
