It's neat!
Dracula has been talking it up for some time! I think in his Top 50s thread, the toy thread, and on IRC.

Ive watched all but the GIJoe one and have really enjoyed them.

I don't know anything about netxlix"s books, but as an accountant, i can tell you that a billion in dollars in debt suddenly disappearing due to an "accounting error" is the sort of thing that would make me MORE suspicious, not less.

There was no multibillion dollar accounting error to be suspicious about. This mistake was just in a bad news story that later received a correction, not in their books.

I watched the trailer for Lost in Space and that is definitely a Mass Effect show, right? The robot is a geth, most of the trailer has them cruising around in a Mako. Even the space suits look similar. Am I wrong?

Wow... that doesnít look like it captures the vibe of the original show whatsoever.

I went from very excited to crushing ennui in less than three minutes.

I would say it could, but I have an odd affection for that not very good movie. Or maybe I just have an understandable affection for Heather Graham.

I don't think this looks bad, but yeah, it does not look to be in the spirit of the old show at all.

Itís been a while since I saw the 90s movie, but it had Gary Oldman as a giant cg bugman. Which is worth something, at least.

Itís not worth nearly as much as Vincent Díonofrio as a giant cg bugman, mind. But itís something.

It is also the worst, most 1998 CGI imaginable. Whether that adds to or lessens enjoyment is a matter of personal taste.

The 1998 movie gave me an enduring affection for this IP. I had my grandparents tape old episodes of the original, which I then never watched because Old.

Anyway, love snow planets, love Mass Effect, love Scr3am-queen Parker Posey, love all trailers. Really feelin' it.

Optimistically, maybe this will make Netflix list the OG LiS as a kind of cross-promotion. Iíd be completely on board with that.

Or maybe just the episode where itís revealed that the planet is going to explode because a space-prospector mined all the space-gold out of the planets core.

I haven't watched much of Netflix's original stuff in the last couple years other than Voltron, but I love them forever for bringing back The Soup as The Joel McHale Show.

Happy to see Parker Posey in anything because she's criminally underutilized, but also I want one of these streaming services throwing money around to just take a risk on some kind of Parker Posey vehicle. I know if I ever watch this, it will just put me in a Poochie situation. Whenever Parker Posey's not onscreen, I'll be asking myself, "Where's Parker Posey?"

I feel like Netflix intentionally chose a picture of Seth Rogen looking super-judgmental to use on their page because of that tweet.
