Anyone found any maps with Turquoise shards in the boss loot yet? I really want like everyone in that group except Rinoa.

If we play against each other in versus we'll exchange cards after we're done.

Well, two problems with that:
1. I am at work. 2. I don't seem to have unlocked online Vs mode yet. How much rm's must I have to get it? |

I think you just have to play a game of AI versus to unlock online and local.

You know what would be nice? Presets that I can set for parties and skills. I want to make a team that is good for farming items with thief-types (Locke, Rikku, Yuffie, Edge)

Is it worth getting the original Theatrhythm for 3DS if I have this? |

No. Every song except one from the original (including DLC) is available in the base package. The only thing you "lose" is the old EMS videos (all of the original EMSes were converted to BMS or FMS, with new EMS tracks chosen), and the Chaos Notes mechanic (but Quest mode is a WAY better mechanic then the old one).

Basically, there's 3 different "types" of songs in Theatrhythm: Event Music Sequences (EMS), Field Music Sequences (FMS), and Battle Music Sequences (BMS). As a whole, they all play the same; you hit notes on a timer. The difference is in the contextualization: EMS tracks play more like Elite Beat Agents, where you're hitting notes as they float around a video of some event. For example, Curtain Call has the FF14 opening video as an EMS. BMS act like battles, where hitting notes deals damage to the enemy while missing them allows the enemy to attack. FMS is just about trying to get as far as you can during the song, where hitting notes causes the party to move faster, and missing notes causes the party to slow down.
Since EMS tracks have an actual video behind them, while BMS and FMS just have small arenas, they take up more memory. So I'm not surprised that they cycled out the old videos in place of new ones as a result. 221 base songs is also a heck of a lot to begin with! The missing song is Somnus from Versus 13, which was a DLC track for the original game. I imagine it's missing due to the change into FF15. |

So many memories! This game couldn't have come at a better time in my life, which is really weird to say about a video game, but it's helping my clear my mind and reflect when my brain is typically going a hundred miles an hour. |

Is the rhythmia cap higher this time? I think I maxed it out before I got very far into expert last time, so there was a lot more opportunity for unlocking via rhythmia if they allowed it.

Unfortunately, none of the FF5 party (at least the main four, I never saw Krile) learned Steal that I could remember. Lenna's a healer type, Faris is a mage, I think, Bartz is a traveler/speed type, and Galuf is a strength type.

There's a pretty thorough guide on GameFAQs already, built from the Japanese version, and it looks like none of the FF5 crew gets Steal.

I bought this last night! But it took a long time to download, so I didn't get to play anything but the demo before going to bed. As someone who didn't really play the first Theatrhythm, I'm finding that I like using the face buttons for the Battle stages, but prefer the stylus for the Field stages. Having to follow those note paths up and down in the FMS and then finish with a directional swipe is too cumbersome using the circle pad. But the combinations of tap/hold/swipe that you get in the Battle stages seem better geared toward controller-style play, and I find that the system feels more stable in my hands when I hold it that way.
I can't wait to dive in! Maybe I'll try to play some on the bus on my way home today. |
