Also thinking now that firetruck and apple could both be clues for RED. But now I'm worried about overthinking on my part!

I like cargo and pair as well!

Ultimately, we're unlikely to get it right this round. Go with your best guess.

I like 3-4-1 or 3-2-1. Not sure whether police station and traffic go together or not. I'd lean 3-4-1. I don't think there's a big hurry, so I'll wait for you to weigh in.

Alright, since I've been informed that this isn't as clear as I assumed it to be:
  1. Destil can make his guess now.
  2. More broadly, there is no need to wait for me during a round, provided that everyone playing respects bolded guesses as final. Once the other team has locked in their guess, the game should be able to continue without my input.

Destil guessed wrong, right? It's the only thing that makes sense.

He did indeed! The correct code was: 4 - 2 - 1

So that means that after two full rounds, the standings are:

Team Mograd: 0 Misses, 0 Interceptions
Team Destilbytes: 1 Miss, 0 Interceptions

We now cycle back around to the initial pair of Encryptors; Mogri's PM will be coming shortly.

ETA: Just to be explicit: Next code PM has been sent to Mogri. Once he posts his clues, it's Destil and Turtle's turn to discuss and make a guess (and optionally argue publicly about the results of the previous round), after which Gerad can make his guess, at which point I'll reveal the correct code.

Wow, Mogri, I don't think you expected that to be true...

"Mograd" sounds like an endgame location from MGS 3.

Reposting/updating my tracker of their clues.

So we've got

1 Fire Ice
2 Mail Link
3 Wrap Beam
4

Maybe... 3-1-4? Destil, what's your thoughts?

Sorry, I've been on vacation with spotty internet.

Let's go with Turtle's suggestion. I could see power or kick as 3, also. But no strong feelings between those.

BZZT!

Swing and a miss!

The correct code was 1 - 3 - 4!

Hm, tricky.

Central: maybe 2, as a clue for authority?
Descend: maybe 3, for ladder?
Wishful thinking: dunno, 4?

I feel pretty certain 1 is pants or shorts and I don't see how either could be in this set.

Those are good guesses, and I don't have a better guess, but recall that Destil guessed 3 for "pair." I don't think he would have associated "pair" with "ladder" over "pants."

1: cargo, pair (Destil guessed 3)
2: police station, traffic
3: firetruck
4: apple

OK, I think that sums up all available information.

Central: Still like 2 the best. I guess it could be 4, thinking in some kind of William Tell sense, but more likely not.
Descend: Still don't have anything better than I was thinking before, which was 3. Destil guessing 3 definitely doesn't align with my ladder/pants theory, but I don't see it going with any of the others.
Wishful Thinking: Again, 4 just based on nothing else really lining up well.

So I'd still guess 2-3-4. What are you thinking?

We'll go with 2-3-4. I have some misgivings, but it's still our best guess given what we have.

I also want to take this opportunity to suggest erring on the too obvious side in your next clue. We can afford to be guessed, but we can't afford another miss.

Well, let me take a swing at their words:
  1. SHORT - The singular would explain some of the confusion.
  2. OFFICER - Fits police station, traffic, and central.
  3. HOSE - Fits firetruck and pair.
  4. CIRCULAR - Fits apple. "Wishful thinking" is a stretch for this, but what could "wishful thinking" possibly match, even if we weren't trying to link it to something else?

Admittedly, some of these guesses are informed by this round's clues, and I don't see where "descend" fits with this.
