I was super stoked about the MOTHER FUCKIN' OLD SPICE CAMEO!

The interrupting gunshots and the Price is Right horns were my favorite things.

Oh, and sad Ray is always hilarious.

This week's episode was fantastic. The ones where the whole group is stuck in the same place together are always the best ones (see: Skytanic, El Secuestro, The Limited, Legs).

And of course, the very next episode addresses this issue. I should just stop complaining about TV shows.

I like how the constant flip-flopping of Ray's legs has truly just become a running theme of the show. I predictKrieger won't be telling him any time soon that the fix is so easy because of how angry Ray would get but eventually a situation will come up where he has to reboot his legs to save their lives.

Well that or I guess Cyril will spill it.

I had no idea there was so much great Archer merch, like Pam's dolphin puppet and Dicky/Seamus temporary tattoos.

Only if they say things like "Dammit Archer!" when you hit them.

I'd buy a Carol stress toy that giggles every time you squeeze it.

"Harder!"

This season is truly a thing of beauty. I can't wait to see the cocaine total continue to tick down bit by bit as a progress chart for the episodes. I kinda wish they did a BSG-style "kilos of coke remaining" count at the beginning of every episode.

I gotta say it doesn't really feel like "Archer Vice" when they've spent almost the whole time hanging in a New York mansion

I'd argue that "Archer Vice" is how Archer himself sees it, and so it's a bit of egomaniacal mindscreening that may or may not reflect reality.

On the other hand, it's only four episodes so far! And one of them was spent doing a coke deal down south. And from the end of episode 4 it seems like they're gonna get out into the field again soon, like Mexico and Colombia. So wheeeeeeee

Archer Vice is as much about selling drugs as Archer was about spying, that is to say always secondary to the goofy bullshit going down at headquarters.

Yeah I know. That montage in the first episode made it seem crazier than it's been so far is all.

I finally caught up and finished this season. It's pretty good. The "god dammit" falling jeep bit was possibly the funniest thing they've ever done.

Other highlights:

-legitimately sad "Damn, dawg"
-clone bone
-the almost swerve finale
-inapropes

Netflix got this WAY sooner then I expected.

I'm honestly pretty impressed at how minor the massive shift in the shows premise seems.

God this is amazing. I never knew I wanted Archer to have a serialized plotline but by jove it works. Also calling it Archer Vice was brilliant.

edit: oh my god its making fun of bitcoin...for a cable TV show the overall writing is basically a high budget not utter shit internet thing.

I could have sworn we had another Archer thread that saw an update sometime last year (mainly because I binge watched the whole series last year and I probably posted about it) but this is the only one I could find and it was last updated in 2014, but whatever! It's an Archer thread!

Anyway, Season 7, March 31st, Archer PI, preview.

Are they still doing phrasing?

We probably should change the name of this thread since we are on season 7. I am enjoying the new status quo immensely.

The very last moments of the episode were so great.

His name's Furlock Bones!

Also enjoyed:
- Archer's ability to whisper screams of pain.
- Ray and Lana's banter (nice to have Ray on the field again, though I was hoping for an Ironside thing)
- Carol and Archer's exchange about Shapiro being Jewish
- "No! You all took it for granted."

Looks like the Veronica Deane case is going to take the whole season, but I won't mind case of the week stuff.

Oh, and I love the new Charlie's Angels inspired commercial break silhouettes.

I don't even know if I finished the last season.

Oh my God was Archer Vice two years ago?
