What I love is that it is already a great image before we get to the tag.

I especially loved it because the bit early on makes it seem as if we'll never get to see it, so it's left to our imagination, but the truth was far more amazing than anything I came up with in the meantime.

I'm disappointed Ray is STILL not part of the opening credits. But otherwise this new season is off to a strong start.

I, too, nearly lost it at Furlock Bones.

I always thought that was probably Adam Reed not wanting to take more credit? But I dunno.

Anyway I'm loving the new season so far. I liked season six, but it was definitely the weakest one so far, and I'm happy to see them bouncing back and still trying new things.

Any way to rename this "The Archer Thread" since we're a couple seasons on now? Same with the Americans one.

First couple new episodes were solid. I feel like Patton Oswalt is filling out a Bingo card of every show on television.

Wasn't Oswalt on the show in earlier seasons?

Also, I really wish Hulu would get the show per episode rather than per season. I hate being a year behind. ._.

Well that would be a hell of a way to end the series if they don't get picked up for another season.

Right?

Kinda disappointed we only get 10 episodes this time around, though. Hopefully we'll get a Season 8.

I really enjoyed this season. There were quite a few great episodes, and Double Indecency is a hilarious, new classic.

I thought this season was more consistent than season 6 (Liquid Lunch was the only episode I actively disliked), but its highs were less high. Still really great, though.

Really hope they're able to squeeze out one more season before it ends.

Archer's seasons are of really even quality to me. The events that take place are so secondary to the banter (which is always hysterical) that I can't even pick a particular episode as any better or worse than the others. This season has been no exception.

Am I crazy for thinking this show and Arrested Development have a lot in common? The way they continually subvert expectations of how characters relate to each other as well as the nonstop construction of jokes that only get more obscure as the seasons go on?

Nah, they are very similar. I think AD was probably a bit more clever with making later episodes call back to earlier ones and didn't do Archer's thing of stopping to explain the more obscure jokes (God, buy a book).

Plus Jessica Walter.

Jessica Walter was also the mommasaur in Dinosaurs, which, I am sorry to report to 1992's NavelsAreNeat, does not hold up. Unlike AD and Archer. (haven't watched this season yet... so much quality entertainment~)

The only way "it was all a dream" works is if we know it's a dream going in. So this is fine.

Not sure how I feel about the shift in tone. Feels like it's playing things just a bit more straight.

Also, Archer still being alive doesn't fit at all with leaving his body to float in a pool indefinitely, but whatevs, I'll roll with it.

Oh, and I would expect Archer's dreamworld to be more Magnum P.I.

Under that logic, Archers dream world would have one thousand Burt Reynolds' for every Tom Selleck.

Episode 3 felt like more of a return to form, and I couldn't be happier about it. Definitely the funniest so far.

New season of Archer on April 25th. It's called Danger Island and it looks like it will have an Indiana Jones 1930's adventure movie vibe. So if you've been waiting for Archer to wake up...

Also Kreiger the cloned nazi scientist is now replaced with Kreiger the Scarlet Macaw.

Is Aiysha Taylor back?

Because the end of Dreamland seemed to imply that, dream or not, she was gone.

Well, Lana is certainly back. I have a hard time imagining another actress portraying her and nothing was said otherwise so for now I'm assuming yes.

Very good then.

I really should know better than to believe anything Archer says.
