Looking forward to it. I kinda love Ming the Merciless Snoke.

I wonder if Snoke went from a dark figure to a dude in a golden bathrobe as an indictment on a certain person who surrounds himself with eye-searing gold decorations.

Well, that tracks. Episode IX is about Luke respawning on Tatoooine, trekking back to Achto to pick up up his stuff.

Note that the Hyperspace Bullet is not a new concept, nor one that imperial ships would be defenseless against in general.

Everyone on the bridge of the flag ship suddenly starts going "holy shit" and barking orders to try and do something about it once they realize she's powering up the hyperdrive, until that point they had intentionally ignored the cruiser to focus on the transports.

It worked because Hux is an arrogant ass who ignored a real (but easily defensible) threat. Seems to be a common theme with him.

Really, with Hux and Kylo Ren in charge of the war effort, the Resistance could be five people and still outmaneuver the whole First Order.

Justin Theroux was the master code breaker. And insinuated he had relations with Maz.

What a world

To be fair, the guy was described and presented as basically the intergalactic James Bond. I don't know if that's much of a "kink" or just mainstream.

Ahem... (I think the joke was that most people would consider the "intergalactic James Bond" to be kinky for hooking up with Maz, the shrivelled old alien, so Daikaju flipped the script).

Maz basically purred her line about how he was "very good with a blaster and other things" so I don't think we're really reaching here

I honestly thought the offscreen badassness of Maz made her the Bond in that relationship. That was seriously one of my favorite bits in the movie.

Default The Last Jedi's Shirtless Kylo is Proving a Problem for Cosplayers

There's a Wall Street Journal article about the difficulties people are having cosplaying Kylo Ren's shirtless scene. The article is behind a pay wall so I didn't link it here. However thanks to "Wait Wait Don't Tell Me", I can tell you that the solution is to obtain black maternity pants.

Having been a month since release, I recommend that you now, if desired, move discussion of The Last Jedi to the general Star War thread.
