I wonder if it will be as incomprehensible as the last two.

since it will only avaible in retail(no free webcomic)
I dont see it will generate like dozens of pages like the last time, but Gabe got help from Ted Napel (earthworm jim, ratfist) so probably the comic will be fine......................(arrggggg)

I get the feeling that being able to tell stories over six-issue arcs in a standard comic book format will take care of a lot of what people found wrong with the webcomic stories. I'm going to try out the first couple of issues, anyway.

Doug TenNapel? Oh, it's going to be great when the villain turns out to be liberalism.

TenNapel is just doing a varient cover I think, he has nothing to do with the comic itself.

Bad Machinery wrapped up another storyline as of yesterday, and today Allison announced a Shelley Winters story that will run for seven weeks before Bad Machinery returns.

I really think he's hit a good stride with this self-contained BM arcs followed by a few weeks of fan-favorite character stories. It keeps things from dragging, there's very little filler, and it's easy to keep track of what's going on.

Without going back to look at the previous "interim" stories, I think this Shelley comic is going to be the longest one he's done yet.

Yeah, the last one was relatively short. And on the off chance that someone here doesn't already know, John Allison is still the most consistently great cartoonist out there. People are impressed with how fast Andrew Hussie puts out content, but Allison has been putting out daily comics since 1998. James Kochalka is pretty much tied with him, but I'd give Allison the edge since his comics have plots and tend to be longer.

I had a hard time following scary go round mostly because I started to read in the middle of its run and allison changed the main characters all the time,
but bad machinery I like it because the stories are shorter
In another note I feel bad for the older selkie girl.
(I didnt know that minors goes directly to jail instead a juvenile detention or a an asylum in the case of the killer selkie girl)

No, he means that there's no comic at all this week. "That" doesn't start until the 9th.

Dr. McNinja's Final Thoughts was funnier than the rest of this arc.

Not that this arc was particularly bad, but it just went on for too damn long. I'd like to see shorter, punchier arcs, but I'm worried that these long arcs that start to push 100 pages are the new norm.

maybe because those are meant to be read in a 100 pages printed book, so it has a book pacing instead of a webcomic pacing.

When I saw the giant crab in this arc, I made a deal with myself: if a weakpoint/massive damage joke is made, I am never reading this comic again

They luckily avoided that, but honestly this was a way less interesting arc than, uh, almost any other McNinja story.

Right, but at least there wasn't any strained winking in the direction of the fourth wall. I was worried about the phrase "giant enemy crab" or "weakpoint for massive damage" showing up in the script.

I found a copy of "The Great Outdoor Fight" in the London Forbidden Planet store and picked it up on a whim. Read it that evening.

Is it weird that it's pretty much my favourite thing now?
