Do you know if there will be digital-only subscriptions? I probably wouldn't be able to afford whatever the print price is but I'd consider a digital subscription if the price were good.

I skimmed it earlier this morning and the layout is great. Lots of love went into it and it shows <3

I ordered a copy! I paged through the pdf, and the layout looks very nice, but I'm going to wait for my copy to come in the mail to actually read it 'cause that's how I roll!

It's being worked on, as far as I know.

And thanks for being so supportive, guys! It means a lot!

I agree that the print version is a little bit too expensive, but I wouldn't mind a digital-only subscription option at some point.

As for the magazine itself, I understand that you wanted to pay your respects to Nintendo Power for the premiere issue, but that doesn't mean I won't be looking forward to when you guys establish your own voice. I did like the Downloadable Reviews section, since it's not something you see as a regular feature on most online sources, and the Mutant Mudds feature was very educational.

Thanks! And I think we'll have our own voice, but we definitely want to keep the tone and feel the same-- not being cynical, or something you'd have second thoughts handing over to your son or kid brother, you know?

Give'em some time. NP's voice changed several times over it's run. As NF continues. they'll find their own groove. They're just going with a solid foundation.

Silly Octo! Kirby doesn't have eyebrows. Just articulated eyelids.

Does Kirby ever smile with angry eyebrows, because he looks even more creepy that way.

Hey Nytetrayn, the website and the first issue both say that the proceeds are going to charity, but they don't specify which one. I'm not trying to be mean, or to make any accusations, but it would be helpful to specify what charity people's money is going toward.

Eeeeeeyeah.

As far as I know, it definitely is, but... well, it hasn't been decided yet.

The target is the obvious one, but apparently one of the people who run the thing (not the one who donates books given as gifts by the author with personal notes thanking them for their support to Goodwill) has some sort of issue with people doing things in the name of said charity, and so we're trying to get clearance to actually do/say that we're doing this for their charity without them getting upset.

Such is my understanding, anyway. If they're not down with that, then there are plenty of other ones out there.

I think he meant The Charity That Shall Not Be Named. I think we all know that it rhymes with Schmild's Schmay.

Yes, I meant the charity. Though frankly if you guys are still pushing to deal with them then what I said could also apply.

Eh, seems a bit knee-jerk to do it after only one thing like that...

...though I suppose it was a pretty big thing.

So, when can we expect some previews of issue #2? You've made a monkey for my back and I needs to feed it.

Probably closer to its release in early March. I've passed along my second script, so that part's done, but I've more to do as we get things finalized.

Would subscriptions include the first issue, or would that need to be secured through MagCloud separately?
