I'm sorry; I mistook the Pussycats for the Pussycat Dolls. Distinct entities from entirely different planes of reality.

I caught up with the last couple of episodes. I love how all the adults on this show are even bigger moody teenagers than the actual moody teenagers that make up main cast.

Well... Since the moody teenagers are played by twenty-somethings the adults have to do something to compensate.

That's fair.

I also love that this is a show where someone can drug a pregnant teenager with a spiked milkshake and it not stand out as something particularly crazy even though it is objectively very crazy.

The finale opens with Jughead proclaiming it a great cliffhanger before recounting how Clifford Blossom hanged himself and gets progressively more bug nuts from there. It is also an episode that has a lot of traditional Archie stuff, like Archie/Betty/Veronica love triangle stuff and SPOILERS Jughead actually eats a hamburger. It also turns out that there is no such thing as a maple syrup empire and the Blossoms were trucking heroin.

I can't wait for season 2

I'm pretty sure you're going to have some of that since the whole Lodge Family plot line has some strong The Godfather vibes to it.

Or as the last episode put it, Scarface.

I love how Cheryl Blossom's new home is actually somehow creepier than Season One's Silent Hill Manor. Of course there's a bottle with a skull and crossbones for poison at the dinner table, that makes perfect sense in this show.

I see we're back to Season One Archie and him making the worst decisions.

Nice job Alice Cooper on verbally bitchslapping your daughter as badly as you physically bitchslapped Hermione Lodge last year.

Aww.. Not Midge, she was cute as heck and giving off some Carlie Rae Jepsen vibes to me. Oh and poor sexually confused Moose as well.

Oh god, Archie forming a half naked teenage boy vigilante squad is the funniest goddamned thing. Also Sheriff Keller is both Riverdale's worst sheriff and it's best dad.

It’s fucking incredible. And then Mark Consuelos is like, “yeah, I’m into it. excellent work, daughter’s boyfriend!”

Say what you want about the plots, this show is absolutely beautiful to watch and a masterclass in scene composition, design, and color theme theory. That fist fight in the rain, my goodness.

I was dying during that techno remix of Archie’s militia video as he wandered down the hall. This was the most hilarious episode yet.

Watching Josie and the Pussycats kick the ever living shit out of a date rapist is EVERYTHING I EVER WANTED!

Also I am not 100% sure that Betty isn't Tyler Durden.

She better be. Otherwise, I hate this type of thing. "I've gotta be an absolute asshole to my friends but real people watching this know my friends will forgive when they find out I'm being blackmailed by a murderer." Just a totally joyless stock plot.

I also have a strong aversion to "I'm the hero of a procedural show and I'm being falsely accused of murder for this episode."

Was it like the final scene of Death Proof?

for a show that's supposed to be about how everyone is in love with archie, they sure did cast a black hole of charisma to play him

Finished watching the episode, and a couple of things.

One, holy crap Sheriff Keller is Buff!

Two, I love this show. No other show would give me Tony Todd and HP Lovecraft, Cheryl Blossom being her amazing, bat guano crazy self, AND B&V teaming up in a comedy, all in the same episode.
