I saw 2 areas (maybe actually just one) where you are a black silhouette but can see what you are doing as long as you aren't against a shadow and 1 area where you can only see when lightening strikes.

I'm not too worried. Both seem like manageable gimmicks if implemented well.

I'm also assuming that the gimmick is probably used in a single stage. And even then, maybe only in specific parts of stages (kinda like in Ninja Gaiden, or Ninja Gaiden II, whichever game the effect was used in). Either way, I wouldn't be worried.

Eh, I only saw three instances of it, and two of them were clearly the same stage. The first was just like Ninja Gaiden 2, while the second didn't really look like it was obscuring any platforming. I'm not worried.

I love that the game looks both 8-bit and 16-bit simultaneously. I am hoping that it will be easier than Super Meat Boy, and will be curious if it is "Nintendo Hard" or can be beaten by mere mortals like myself...

I must be living under a rock, but I've never heard of shovel knight. Admittedly I'm super excited for it now though.

That wait until the end of March is going to be mighty difficult.

I feel compelled, nay, obligated to mention this:

Quote:
This exclusive artwork was created for NF Magazine by Yacht Club Games‘ own concept artist, Erin Pellon. She went wild with this one – every main character from the game is featured, overflowing from the front cover and on to the back. (We’ll let you pick up a copy of the issue to see the reverse side, though. Grab a Bundle in the NF Store to get your name on the list!)
Exclusive art, exclusive interview, and if I'm not mistaken, we have some exclusive reveals of some of the game's content, too.

The Wii U port has Demons Souls-esque player messages. But the 3DS version has spot-pass challenge maps.

This suddenly became a VERY difficult decision.

Gah, I'm getting pretty interested in the 3DS version, but I'm not sure if I"ll be done with Bravely Default by the time it drops...

I don't remember because it was so damn long ago, but I'm fairly sure I chose the Wii U version. It's just as well though, as streetpasses are rare enough for me that it'll be a small miracle that I pass someone else with the game.

I didn't really have any idea what this was until yesterday, but I watched a trailer and then a Game Grumps episode featuring it and wow am I ever buying this day one. 3DS for me.

They claim that they want to bring it to everything that can run it, but there's no specific release dates for anything other than the Nintendo systems and PC currently.

Have any fellow backers gotten the email about Humble Bundle redemption yet? They said in their last update that those would be going out 'soon,' but never gave an actual timeframe.

So I got a backer e-mail saying that Shovel Knight has been delayed.

They didn't give a new release date, but made it sound like it should only be a matter of a few weeks.

Why can't they just call a spade a spade? I don't dig this behaviour at all. It's difficult to handle.

They said end of March.

Maybe they didn't give a specific date because they don't know? It's done when its done and they're happy with it

Yeah, there's a lot of depth there. But sooner or later someone has to take on the mantle and provide an example for the rest of us.
