But it's not additional damage; it's a separate attack that you can retarget.

Yes, you get additional points for 1 or 3 players to offset the fact that you can't possibly have four surviving heroes at the end of the game.

I'll pass the P1 to Gerad.

I wouldn't expect Magic Missile to hit the same target twice. Six damage is a lot, even if the monster's DR would count against it twice because it's two hits (which I'm just speculating on anyway).

Ranger questions: 1) for the [arrow]+X abilities, does that mean the number on the nocked card plus X? If I stored G4 on the ranger then used Aimed Shot, would it deal 6 damage?

2) Piercing Shot says it negates the enemy's damage reduction skill until the end of the round. Does that mean the DR is negated for all characters that act after the ranger?

All of this is correct.

I thought I already had a clause in the instructions about multiple targets, but I didn't. I added a parenthetical at the end of the Hero Abilities section (before the example text) to clarify.

I also added a sentence to the end of the Ranger explanation in that section and an entry in the appendix regarding Piercing Shot.

...Oh right, minor heal does nothing this turn since enemy phase is after attack phase :v

Anyway.

I'll assign my R1 to the Warrior and use Enrage, dealing 1 damage to the Cyclops and storing the R1.

My understanding of your plan for this turn is:

Warrior: Y5 -> Paladin
Mage: Y1 -> Bard
Bard: P1 -> Mage
Paladin: No exchange?


Warrior: Enrage (R1) - 1 damage
Mage: Magic Missile (P1 P3) - 2 damage
Bard: Inspire (G3/Y1?)
Paladin: Rebuke (Y5 B3) - 1 damage


But I see I'm not the only one confused here. Going forward, please bold your actions.

Enrage (Any): 2 damage. Increase this attack's damage by 1 if the card's rank is 4 or 5. You may store the card on the Warrior.



Mage (Gerad) - 1/4
Magic Missile (P? P?): 3 damage to 2 targets.
Mind Probe (Any): 1 damage. If an enemy is damaged this way, peek at the top card of the Encounter Deck. You may place it on the bottom of the Encounter Deck.



Bard (Lucas) - 1/5
Minor Heal (B? G? Y?): Remove 2 damage from one hero.

I plan to discard both of my reds and hope for a blue. If Gerad can give me a green I can heal someone.

Let's see. Unleash + Magic Missile + Rebuke should kill it, if we can pull that off.

Though, you guys have three reds, which means there's only two that I can hope to draw.

I think what I want to do is ask Lucas to save his R5 to pass to me, then discard my Y2, holding the P3 for Gerad.

JP and I can both pass you a red, guaranteeing the Unleash. We can only give one card each in the exchange but you can accept as many as you are offered, if I'm remembering right. The question is whether you want to guarantee the Rebuke by giving JP your yellow or pass the purple to Gerad and hope he draws one of his own.

Edit: Ninja turtled. Yeah, I'll hold the R5 for turtle and discard the R3. We can discard and redraw twice, right? Probably good for Gerad to keep in mind with this plan.

Lucas discards R3
