Default Highlights thread

Post cool highlights, from any sport, here. Cool plays, clutch scoring, massive screw-ups, whatever.

Preferably recent highlights, but if y'all wanna dredge up your favorite plays from the annals of sports-time, feel free to share.

I couldn't find a better thread for this, and I was certainly not going to make one, but this take on Phil Mickelson hitting a moving ball at the US Open is amazing. So spicy, so unnecessarily self-righteous.

They would not shut the hell up about that. Give the guy a break, it was his birthday and he wasn’t making the cut anyway.

I dunno how many people watch European Soccer (I'm guessing nobody but me), but this week saw two dramatic jaw-dropping comebacks and set up an incredible Champions League final between Liverpool and Tottenham Hotspur.

First leg: Barcelona 3 - 0 Liverpool
Second Leg: Liverpool 4 - 0 Barcelona
Liverpool win 4-3 on aggregate.

First Leg: Tottenham 0 - 1 Ajax
Second Leg: Ajax 2 - 3 Tottenham
Tottenham win 3-3 on aggregate, with 3 away goals.

I watched the first half of the Ajax Tottenham second leg at a bar yesterday. One big Ajax fan (I'm going to guess the only such person in Omaha, NE) bought people shots after each Ajax goal. (Coincidentally, I got kind of trashed yesterday) I left at half time to continue celebrating finishing my second year of law school, so I didn't see the rest of the game.

Seeing the results this morning I was shocked. I feel bad for that dude that bought me tequila.

MLB.com ran down the best home run robberies of the season so far and LoCain made the list twice.

That's harsh.

I kind of have a soft spot for Ajax, since their style of play is really entertaining, but god seeing Spurs win the game (as a Spurs fan) in literally the last second has produced the most amazing euphoria I've ever felt. Never experienced anything like it. I was an emotional wreck for the rest of the day lol.

Felt bad for Ajax this morning tho.
