You know that bit in every single film ever made where the team walks into a warehouse full of corpses and the guy says "What the hell happened here?" That warehouse is Daikatana.

Default Great work, as always, dude.

Let's just pretend I posted the Penny Arcade comic here and move on, shall we?

This is it, Madhair, isn’t it?

This is the reason you started writing for Retronauts.

Think of it this way—Shadow of the Colossusis a game that is absolutely beloved thanks to its engagement with the player's emotions. You feel it every time you fell one of the magnificent beasts. That's sorrow, pathos. But consider happiness, consider joy. Those are valid emotions no more or less meaningful than sadness, and it's these emotions Donkey Kong 64 successfully evokes. In Sony Studio Japan's arthouse masterpiece, you are prepared to put yourself in the shoes of the main character. Wander is sad because he kills the majestic Colossi. Chunky Kong is happy because he found a banana on the floor. It's the exact same thing.

If nothing else, I loved the aesthetics of Donkey Kong 64. And the unlockable retro games.

I would really love to hear your thoughts on Banjo-Kazooie: Nuts & Bolts and Yooka-Laylee sometime, Stu.

Yooka I've spent time with, Nuts and Bolts not so much. I do have it and I've been meaning to get around to it.

Nice to see Parish didn't pass up the tasty opportunity to employ a terrible troll on his payroll.

Sometimes I read the comments on your articles, Madhair, and I get the distinct impression that someone just doesn’t quite grasp the essence of what makes a Stuart Gipp be as he is.
