Buenas, vecino!

Haha, I'm afraid it's too late for me as well: although I may have started posting now I've been trapped in these anime quicksands since long ago. Let us all accept our fates and sink together while at least having a good laugh.

Never mind. I take it back. I take it all back. What a naive fool I was.

No, no, I refuse to give in to despair. I'll keep believing that the intrinsic nature of mankind is Good, and that this item, if it is ever sold, won't fetch a price above pennies.

But if it does, dibs on summoning the Old Ones to wipe out this planet, pls.

A fun game in this thread is to not click any links and just judge what you think the link is about from the reactions of others.

The answer is inevitably “Nothing Good”

You should click this one, Octo. I guarantee that it's not anything that you're capable of thinking of, and this is as much bewildering and sad as it is horrifying. Also, unlike almost everything in this thread, it is visually benign.

WITHOUT CLICKING THAT LINK TELL ME WHICH OF THESE YOU THINK IS MOST LIKELY BEHIND THAT TINY PIECE OF CLICKABLE BLUE TEXT
  • Some weirdo made a popular Japanese singer say "It's time to wake up, master!" into his cell phone so he could use it for his alarm clock.
  • Some weirdo took a tupperware container to a concert, then advertised that he was selling the air exhaled by the popular Japanese singers.
  • A popular Japanese singer was fired from her Idol group upon the revelation that she had gotten engaged. The link is to a video of some weirdo ripping pictures of her fiancee in half.
  • A popular Japanese singer absentmindedly answered "Mastodon's Levithan" when asked what album was their biggest musical inspiration, causing some weirdo to spend 3 hours liveblogging about how metal is the new jpop.
  • A popular japanese singer with multiple number one hits was forced to dress as a catgirl maid because the idol industry is fucking gross.

My moneys on 2.

5 is also a distinct possibility in general, it doesn’t fit the context of the comments.

I mean, all of the things BEAT listed in his post have already happened in reality at least once.

A "fun" "game" to "play" is to get someone who is less concerned with being alive than you to find clips of idols at meetups and other live events and you have to guess which type of animal they're going to act as

I just assume the tupperware scam is just that - a ruse. Now, if someone showed me a sold ebay listing, that's when I fill my gas tank and begin looking for duct tape and a garden hose.

Maybe not Mastodon in particular, but I vaguely remember some western anime flack noticing that some random idol was talking about listening to metal and writing a Serious Thinkpiece on the subject.

All else being equal I'm in favor of fleecing creepos as aggressively as possible, but it becomes a different matter when there's a feedback loop based on indoctrinating more people into creepism so that they can be fleeced.

For $10 less I'll sell them a tupperware full of air that was once exhaled by their favorite idol and Hitler.

Label it as official Axis Powers Hetalia merchandise and you'll have fans breaking down your door.
