One is a colour pairing that I'm genetically predisposed to find distasteful while the other is composed of delicious-looking berries? ???

I had a wagyu filet at some fancy ass Austin steakhouse recently that looked like that. Pretty good, probably not $90 good. My boss chose the place and then made me pick up the check, of course, no way he was going to try justifying that receipt to the guy he reports to.

Didn't somebody post a picture of a crawfish boil last year that looked almost exactly the same (delicious)?

Even though it's beautiful, I can't help wondering how much of it is actually "cake", as in a baked mixture of flour, sugar, eggs and other ingredients.

I guess you could say, is the cake a lie?

crawwwwwwwdads <3

maybe there should be a rule that if you're going to call something a cake, at least one person has to eat an entire slice out of it. but it's certainly beautiful

Well it won a British competition and if any nation is a stickler for rules, it's the UK.
Ergo, it must have a certain amount of actual cake.
