10. God, this is tough. I feel like there have been so many horror movies, recent and older to slot in here. Umm.... The Fly?

Not on my list but shout out to The Adventures of Tintin. It got a lukewarm reception but it felt like exactly how Indiana Jones felt in my childhood.

5) The Shape of Water

I was kind of shocked when my list did not contain any Del Toro. The Shape of Water, Hellboy 2 and Crimson Peak were ones I considered for my 10, let alone Pacific Rim or Pan's Labyrinth. Man, my list could almost have just been Del Toro movies.

1. Gremlins 2: The New Batch

Hell yeah. I did my list mostly from memory, and somehow Gremlins 2 didn't come to mind, but I am tempted to go back and make room for it. Such a wild delight.

4) The Count of Monte Cristo (2002)

Glad to see I'm not the only one who loves that movie. It is kind of a terrible adaptation of the book, but it is a really fun film.

Not on my list but shout out to The Adventures of Tintin. It got a lukewarm reception but it felt like exactly how Indiana Jones felt in my childhood.

That's another whole thread about underappreciated movies, but I'll back you on Tintin. I had a lot of fun with it.

They decided to remake A League of Their Own and turn it into a series - just the sacrilege I've come to expect from modern charlatans - but it did remind me that A League of Their Own should be on my list. Probably swap out Dazed and Confused.
