You are a difficult man to please BEAT. So I'm just going to throw shit at the wall and see if any of it sticks. (Also I don't know if any of this stuff is on Netflix and can't be bothered to check.)

So here's a list of stuff in rougly descending order of goodness/my familiarity:
The State
Danger Mouse (1981 series)
Sealab 2021 (for as long as Harry Goz is in the episodes)
One Punch Man
Cowboy Bebop
Freakazoid
Mighty Mouse: The New Adventures (at least The League of Super-Rodents segment)
The Critic
Death Valley
Mob Psycho 100
Danger 5
What We Do In The Shadows
Miracle Workers
Count Duckula

God I hate those shows, and anything else that works off the premise and assumption that ancient humanity was a bunch of morons that needed some enlightened group of aliens/gods/etc to help them
wipe their asses

Even though I am white person I don't really blame the aliens.

I'm really just not a fan of the heartwarming dramadies, even when they're up to their eyeballs in murder and gore.
I didn't look it up, but I've been on the internet for awhile.

Oh, so just murder and gore? Baki and Kengan Ashura. The last one has a fight tournament hosted by corporations and the Ray Croc of Erstatz McDonald's is just straight up Ronald.

I actually watched a decent chunk of Baki with an old friend.

He described it as the Most Fascist Show ever, and I'm inclined to agree.

EHHH I WATCH ENOUGH DC WEIRDNESS AS IT IS.
SOME EXAMPLES OF STUFF BEAT LIKES:
TINY PARTS OF THE "ARROWEVERSE" BUT MOSTLY JUST LENGENDS OF TOMORROW.
I just wanted to get back to this and just comment on how it's a shame that you've sat through all of the most atrocious, mind-numbing DC stuff there is, and that it makes you want to reflexively avoid Doom Patrol despite it being nothing like any of that shit except Legends. It's like Legends, but better.

Edit: I don't blame you btw, most CW DC stuff is garbage and you're 100% justified in not really trusting this, it's just a shame.

Looking at your list, it appears that you mostly like movies that are good? Not really sure why you have Netflix.

Mr Bean

Chief Detective
Did anyone mention the new Harley Quinn series on MAX? I thought it was pretty great and feels BEAT adjacent. Highlights include Commissioner Gordon befriending Clayface’s hand, Bane taking the piss out of every other version of Bane, every time King Shark shows up, Clayface singing opera in an attempt to impress Tim Burton, the epic rivalry between Kite Man and Condiment King, watching Ivy melt a bunch of asshole CEOs with the toxic waste they dumped in the harbor, and probably a dozen more things I can’t think of off the top of my head.

What about uhhhh JoJo's Bizarre Adventure? You can skip the first part if you want but it is specifically not a heartwarming dramedy

Octopus Prime

Mysterious Contraption

That being said, the first few episodes is some extremely absurd family drama that anyone would be remiss not to allow time to soak in.

You and your wife should consider watching Cobra Kai. Your wife will enjoy the goofy melodrama. You will probably enjoy the choreographed fight scenes.

KAIJI.

No bullshit anime tropes here, just a bunch of degenerates putting their health on the line to compete in high stakes gambles.

[scratches out "suggest BEAT watch Kakegurui" and writes "suggest BEAT watch Zombieland Saga" below it]

BEAT, you should watch Zombieland Saga.
NO IDOL SHOWS AND NO SHOWS ABOUT ROTTING CORPSES ACTING LIKE NOT-ROTTING CORPSES.
