What Should I Play Next? Because I don't like making my own decisions.

Depends on what you feel like, right now. Hollow Knight is great, but also really long and hard.

Hatoful Boyfriend is absolutely great (just very fun and weird), I thought, but it's a visual novel. If you feel like playing one right now, that one would work well. But, considering that you just played Doki Doki Literature Club, I guess you should play something else first. Also, Hatoful Boyfriend only really works, if you do all the endings. Which I totally recommend, but it takes time. Just doing one or two of the endings will still be fun, but you would miss out on a lot of stuff.

These are the two I have played from that list. Can't comment on the other ones.

Sorry, for some reason I was thinking only Johnny used this thread to ask. It's a confusing time, I'm bit of a mess at moment.

In that case, if you are up for a strange and fun Visual Novel, and up for doing all the endings, Hatoful Boyfriend is a great choice. Would have been my favourite GOTY of 2017 (I think?), if it weren't for Life is Strange 1. That said, my tastes in games are somewhat exotic.

One Valentine's Day my husband and I didn't feel like doing anything as a couple, so we invited a bunch of our single friends over to play this as it sounded like a good dumb thing to do that was slightly holiday-appropriate. We group-chose what to do at any decision point and it was utter chaos.

We did not expect to (serious ending spoiler) open some sort of demon portal in a pigeon dating game, but we did! I know we didn't do all the endings but we had a blast anyway.

My GamePass subscription will run out at the end of March and I'd like to tackle one of these games before it ends. Wanted to see people's thoughts, I listed the specific editions in case the content would sway anyone:

- Tales of Vesperia Definitive Edition
- Dragon Quest XI S Definitive Edition
- Nier Automata Become As Gods Edition

I have never played any Dragon Quest, Tales or Nier/Drakengard games. I'm leaning toward Dragon Quest since it's the series I feel the most guilty for not having played by now, but not sure if that's the best motivation.

IMO NieR: Automata is the best game on that list. The combat is kinetic and fun, the world is fully realized, the story is basically if all those PS1 JRPGs were actually as deep as they thought they were, and the music is, well, it's a contender for best game soundtrack of the century.

Oof, I just deleted a game I was playing on accident and now I need a new game. I was playing darksiders II So I need something tonally different.

So right now my choices are...

Goragoa
NES Open (I've been chipping at this for years on vacations, trying to beat the big tourney. I think I'm on the last guy because he looks like an oiled up muscle man. I could save it for a vacation I MIGHT be having in March, maybe, or I could finish it now and put my vacation time towards other things)
The Witness (I have no recollection of how I got this game. But it looks like a game with fall colours and no glowing skulls...)
The Wonderful 101 (I started this game forever ago when I got the switch release and something came up.)

Are you in the mood for a puzzle game on a lonely island, with basically no story? Then The Witness should be the right game for you. I have only started myself, but it seems good.

Goragoa is like three/four hours at max. It's a beautiful snack and doesn't take a lot of time. If you're still hungry for puzzle solving afterwards Witness is best in class.

I've also heard that Wonderful 101 is about as good as character action games get, but I don't have firsthand experience.

The Witness is one of the most opaque (for me) games I've ever played, and the final puzzle made it so that I couldn't even use a guide to finish the game. However, the environments are gorgeous and vibrant and it's worth playing the game just to spend a few hours in its world.

I went with Goragoa. When I saw the preview I thought it looked good but might be frustrating but holy shit is this game intuitive without looking like it. It's like invisible handholding. Because just holding a piece of the puzzle can accidentally help you unlock the next. I love it.

The Witness is a neat game right up until the end, when it gated the last bit of the game behind a bunch of flashing lights that gave me horrible headaches. Like, I couldn't even look at the room where this puzzle took place. It was frustrating because I was so close to the end, but I deleted the game and watched the end credits on YouTube. It wasn't worth physical pain to finish.
