Method of Transport: Time machine
H. G. Wells is a famous writer of science fiction and a genius inventor, invented his own time machine. Perfect, we need someone who knows the ins and outs. And he’s actually created some good safeguards; particularly, a special key so if someone were to use it without him, it would return to him. However, on the day he was showing it off to his friends, the police raid his house. It turns out one of his friends, John Leslie Stevenson, is actually the infamous murderer Jack the Ripper… and has escaped 80 years into the future using the time machine. Thankfully, the machine returned to Wells due to the safeguard and Wells decides to pursue Jack into the future, only to discover that 1979 isn’t the utopia he was hoping.
This is one of those movies I’ve always been meaning to see but I never got around to it but Malcolm McDowell is always a treat. Him playing such a sensitive soul seems so against type that I keep thinking that this must be a Roddy McDowell role. At least I got the last name right. Anyway, I don’t have too much to say on this one except definitely on my list of things to see eventually.
I was wondering if people would be interested in telling me what they would be interested in seeing me write about.
A) Writing articles about TV pilots that were never picked up, both the good and the bad.
B) Let's Play: Adventures of the Smart Patrol. I don't usually do Let's Plays but I love Devo and I hear this is a frustrating game, so people can watch me actively go insane. The catch is I don't know where I can find a way to play it so if someone knows how I can emulate it or something, let me know.
C) Watching weird holiday specials. Like, not just Christmas, but stuff like that Earth Day special with Robin Williams and a bunch of celebrities.
D) An I Am The Greatest rewatch.
