Unless you are Oskar Schindler, if you're a Nazi all your other accomplishments mean jack shit.

It is genuinely incredible how idiot techbros will endlessly re-invent things that have been around forever.

Two years ago it was busses

Last year it was Subways.

And this year it's apparently Rajneeshpuram.

Oh, wow. Bob the Angry Flower. That one's great. And even after [redacted] years this one still makes me giggle every time. "Ha!"

No, it's totally going to work this time! You'll see. You'll all see...
Man. One of the more interesting aspects about when I was studying US History, is just how often America goes through these cycles where for a decade or two, it becomes intensely popular that ideological, split-off communes get formed in the hinterlands. It's so ubiquitous and so consistent a pattern. Like, literally, every other decade or two it happens, going all the way back to the beginning of the Republic. Historically, these communes were always driven by zealous, religious, fundamentalist, revival groups. And with the continued secularization of America it's interesting to see the trend continue, but replacing worship of Jesus with the worship of tech and libertarianism.

I have repeatedly said of Crypto morons that bitcoin is not their money, but their god.

And that's why they routinely empty their bank accounts to "save" the currencies every time they crater.

Their God cannot be allowed to die.

I don't know exactly what these dumbfucks think they're going to accomplish other than screwing over locals and presumably enabling some human traffickers on the side. Honestly I doubt anything will ever come of this at all. The account barely has more followers than me, and you need way bigger numbers to do a Jonestown Than that.

Just the latest instance of someone enlightened by their intelligence being the biggest fucking idiot in the world

Now I want that “40k Mummified Emperor on the Golden Throne” drawing photoshopped to be a Bitcoin.

What I'm hearing is that BEATville, where the skeletons are angry and the wizards are run out of town on a rail, is on its way

Apparently Greg Kelly's twitter is quite the adventure. One I'm not willing to take, as a Newsmax reporter who thinks having "Let's Go Brandon" in his handle is the height of cleverness is not someone I want to give any more oxygen than he already has.

He's so deep in the uncanny valley of sincerity that it retroactively forced Stephen Colbert into retirement.

Apparently "this was on purpose as a joke to troll libs", to which I'd point to Popehat's Law of Goats.

"This was on purpose as a joke" I could totally believe, but when they throw "to troll libs" on the end it becomes very clear that no, this really happened

The whole thing is so depressing. “If you make a mistake, it means that I don’t have to take you seriously. If it looks like *I* make a mistake, I was actually just trolling you. If you get angry at any of this, that means you’re irrational, and I don’t have to take you seriously. If *I* get angry, that means you’re not being fair to me.” I’ve met 15-year-olds with more emotional maturity.
