I'm really surprised this game hasn't gotten more traction on Talking Time, considering what a huge Mafia playerbase we have.
So if you're familiar with Mafia, or Werewolves, or any of their clones, Among Us is an adorable mobile/Steam game that plays very similar, just with a real-time element to it. The basic idea is that you're a motley bunch of colorful crew members - up to ten - that are trying to pilot a spaceship of some sort (there are three total, with different layouts and objectives). In theory, crew members are just running around, completing mundane tasks to keep the ship functioning. HOWEVER!!! Among these innocent souls, there are between one and three impostors (the actual number being public knowledge before the game starts), sabotaging the ship and killing off the crew members.
Crew members (and impostors) can call a crew meeting when a dead body is discovered, and can also summon the crew together with emergency meetings. Just as in Mafia and its ilk, the members of the ship discuss what evidence they've found and what suspicions they might have. At that point, they can vote to jettison one of their own into space, or they can skip and not kill anyone off. The game ends when either the crew members have completed all tasks, OR the crew members have jettisoned out all impostors, OR impostors number half or more of the remaining population.
What's unique here is the real time element. Tasks keep crew members distracted and forces them to wander around the ship. Also, some tasks can "prove" a crew member - ie, there's animation proof that at least someone is completing this task - while most others can be sneakily imitated by a devious impostor. Additionally, instead of night kill phases, impostors can kill whenever, as long as their kill cooldown timer is up - but with this, comes the element of discovery. But what happens when it's two people accusing each other of committing the crime, with no other witnesses around? SHENANIGANS! There's also the ability for impostors to sabotage critical ship systems, also on an adjustable cooldown. Some of these are inconvenient to the crew members - shutting off lights or communications, which makes it easier for dastardly deeds to be committed, or severally hampers the progress of the innocent. However, impostors can also shut down things like oxygen exchanges or reactors, which, if not dealt with in a timely fashion, will result in a kill off of the crew and an instant win for the baddies. Lastly, impostors can travel around the ship via vents ("venting"), which is a very convenient way to get out of a pickle, but also risky in that a witness will gladly call you out for it.
The game has been around for a couple of years, but it exploded over the summer and now the game boosts the highest number of viewers on Twitch. It's amazing, and I can't stop playing it, and I want to play with y'all if you're interested.
