Man, that Jade Face fight on the bridge was a pleasant surprise. I miss that old Sakaguchi-era Final Fantasy “this fight has a twist” style of boss design, and I’m struggling to think of any boss fight either prior in this game or in any of the later Xenoblades that pulls that off quite like this one did.

There's the one against humans which forces a Shulk switchout, and any fight against a spiked enemy is different, but yeah, I could use more gimmick fights.

Reaches Mechonis capital and is immediately given over a dozen side quests by some terminals.

I mean I get I’m almost there by Xenoblade standards. I just thought this was a funny situation.

Technically everything is from the titanic god being if you really think about it

And I beat it last night. That Xeno penchant for pop-Gnosticism doesn’t really hit until near the end with its Demiurges on top of Demiurges narrative.

I want to play Future Connected to see what Bionis Shoulder looks like, but I’m not sure I’ll finish it. I’ve already been playing this for 80 hours and the backlog is just getting bigger...

I will say I like Nene and Kino more than I thought I would. They’re wholesome.

I played a few hours of this on Wii, then sold it off to pay for something because it was like $90 and I had a baby anyway so who had the time then? Not me.

Anyway I got it for Christmas and am enjoying this go-through considerably. I'm at chapter, I dunno, 5? Just beat Xord. I assume I'm in for a lot more hours of playing, but I'm not in a rush.

So I ended up playing all the way through Future Connected. Not at all a must play, but it’s perfectly fine if you are just wanting more Xenoblade.

I guess it explains why there was a Telethia in X, if they were yeeting themselves into the multiverse at the end there. Now to explain why Nopon appear to exist in all dimensions.

Oh yeah. Colony 6 is just scratching the surface. I'd say you're about 1/8th of the way through the game.
