Vampire Survivors - Castlevania but You Are the Bullet Hell

SpoonyBard

Threat Rhyme
(He/Him)
The Whiteout update has been out for awhile on most platforms and has finally come out on Switch as well, so go have fun unlocking more things to kill more things!

But even better, there's a new mode coming soon, an Adventure mode with its own progression independent of the main game!

With just as many Vampires as in the main game to boot!

Sarcasmorator

Same as I ever was
(He/him)
I got this last month and it's a lot of fun. More fun than a game with one input feels like it has any right to be. (Pac-Man is not very fun to me.) I have most of the unlocks and am down to secrets I'm not sure how to do on the Switch so I'll probably just cast spells for them. It's been a great game to just kill a half hour while the family watches a show I'm not super interested in or something.

I ultimately had to use spells to unlock two of the three ghost buddies. One of em I probably could have done in-game but the other straight up needed using keyboard input and I don't think they added an alternate method for Switch so I did what I had to do.

Adventure mode is fine, it's not super meaty, but there are some new maps (that use the old tilesets and enemy waves), and the limitations/objectives do give it a very distinct vibe compared to the main game.

Also, you know what, I'll say it: I appreciate that Adventure Mode provides toy commercial levels of character lore. Of course The Old Garlic Man is friends with The Okami Dog.
