Transformers Battlegrounds: Being a Video Game Camera Simulator 2020

Hey! This game exists! It's like XCOM but Transformers. Mostly making this thread because there has been, like, no advertising for this game, and I figure people would like to know you can have Transformers-flavor XCOM.

Here's what I said about it elsewhere:
So looks like Battlegrounds has some surprising meat to it. Three classes, and two playable characters of each class. Each character can equip one each of class abilities and a character abilities that are unique to them. Game doesn't screw around on Medium, but defaults to Easy probably because it's obviously XCOM for kids. When the game tells you an objective other than "kill every dude" it will happily spawn more dudes literally every turn. There's some Into The Breach-esque pushing mechanics that explosions, Windblade's default ability, and one of the brawlers' class abilities can cause (that would be Optimus and Grimlock) .

Not yet like MariOCOM inventive, but it's still a solid tactics game of this type. Over the course of the first few missions, I overexposed and lost Grimlock a few times. Unlike most tactics games, once you accomplish one of the objectives that make up a chunk of a mission, all your dudes get healed a bit, including bringing them back from being "deactivated."

Also you, yourself, are the literal point-of-view character and early on get "removed from the combat zone" by a hovering drone dude who just lifts you up into the air. Canonically each turn you're going like "Hey Bumblebee, there's a guy like right over there," and gesturing emphatically.

People keep reminding me about this game and I keep forgetting it exists. It's on Switch, Drac! It's a new TF game! It sounds pretty great! Why am I not playing it yet????

Just as a heads up, seems like this might be really short for a strategy game. I'm like halfway done right around when a given Fire Emblem wouldn't have introduced half the classes yet.

Well given the target audience for this iteration and the actual episodes aren't that long either; I'm guessing they didn't feel the need for anything FE length.
