Months! They mark the time but they also have their own flavours, marked by weather, observances, holidays and other factors.

As I grow older, I think all of the months have something fascinating about them, almost a little culture that isn't a place, but a time (of course, how you observe it may also be influenced by actual culture, as well as location). They have their own little personalities, I suppose. At least, that's my own feeling. Even some of the harder months (I'm not naming names) have something kind of beautiful within them. But now it's the time for YOU to tell me your favourite months. You can tell me why, as well, when you send them in and I can post them or you can wait until they drop. But I think this is potentially a fun, interesting topic. At least for myself! I want to know what you like. The weather, the holidays. Maybe it's specific and personal to you. Maybe you don't want to say. Just make a list that you feel confident in and send it in!

Now if you haven't done this before, here's how it works.

A) Send a list of your top 6 months. You are free to send a smaller list if you want but I will say my personal preference is a full list if possible. If you have further questions on this, please don't ask. Weird, I know, but I think the more we talk about what thinking outside the box includes, the less fun it is when you actually do it. Maybe that's just my hang up. But please humour me. Though if it is REALLY important to you to clear something up, PM me. Speaking of...

B) PM me your list. And keep it a secret from the other players. It's more fun if people aren't gaming the system or knowing what's coming. Don't worry, you can reveal your list when it is all done.

C) I'll tally everyone's list and make a composite list of seasons.

Usually I'd put in some rules but I think this basically covers it.

Please send me your list by July 26th. This will be a soft deadline but my soft deadline's lengths tend to be contingent on how long it takes for me to tabulate these and I suspect this won't take me long at all so don't delay!

 
I know Johnny doesn’t want to skew results with too much prior discussion, so I’ll keep it abstract, but I’ll just say I went with a mix of “normal” months and more out-there picks just to keep things interesting while making my list. There’s a lot of other systems out there. (Granted, I’ll be kind of amazed if any of my weird picks get a second vote, but it’d be pretty cool if it happened.)
