Tomodachi Life: Living the Dream

Violentvixen

(She/Her)
There's a Tomodachi Life: Living the Dream demo live now! The actual game comes out April 16th. I'm still absolutely shocked this game came back.

I played through the demo and it's more of the same but more detailed and improved. Voice, dating, pronoun, clothing, etc options are all chooseable. I hadn't pre-ordered it yet just in case something was weird, but it's a delight.

I was bummed to discover that you can't export screenshots from your game, although since Miis are often based on real people it does make sense. But trust me, I had some good ones.

Also, wow, Lumber and I have carried Miis all the way through from the Wii. I was very glad to see a lot of the same ones as I had in the original game, which we'd used all the way back in Wii bowling with friends. Even had Miis for friends we haven't talked to in years! If anyone needs to try to find their old Miis there's a Mii category under system settings on the Switch.

Enjoying this, but man, it feels really limited as a demo for a game that's like three weeks away from release.

Yeah, when they said the demo would transfer I expected more to do, and it's a bummer you stop unlocking stuff so quick. Still, it answered my questions about what this game might be so I'm happy.

Apparently you can have more than one island per console in the demo, but I'm still hoping that holds true for the final version.

Added my third Mii, and now the demo is effectively over. I can still interact with them, but all they want to talk about is the retail version now.

Haven’t checked out the demo yet but this seems really fun! I never played the 3ds original but have fond memories of friends posting memes and pictures from it, makes me miss Miitomo though, which I did play!

The demo is incredibly brief but did enough to convince me to eventually pick this up so my webcomic characters can bounce off each other in this.

Man, they shut you down REALLY hard in this when it's over, don't they? Your Miis don't leave their rooms anymore, you can't take them out anymore, and you can't have them interact.

They definitely released this demo way too early. Now there's nothing to do for 2-3 weeks when you're done.
