That was a very thinly-veiled way for Cheadle to say he wants to get in Steve's pants.

You take your chances when you can.

What's this brouhaha I'm hearing about Chris Pratt in my timeline? Can I get a curated summary? I don't wanna google it because I'm afraid of the rabbit holes.

The short if it is the "Here's four things, keep three" meme went around with the four Chris of the MCU, and most people who picked Pratt sited his right-wing leanings. This caused his coworkers to chime in his defense.

Yeah that's not fair to Pratt. He should be excluded based simply on merits of being a bad actor playing a bad character.

Normally I'd agree, and even point out that he's the least attractive between him, Helmsworth, Evans, and Pine, but he follows some pretty scummy people (B*n Sh*p*r* and Pr*g*r U) and his church is notoriously anti-LGBT, so he goes.

Also when I say coworkers, I mean Ruffalo, RDJ, James Gunn, the Russo brothers, and Zoe Saldana.

It was rightly pointed out that ousting Chris Pratt got more people up in arms than Brie Larson's harassment at the hands of alt-right chuds.

I'm just glad he didn't completely burn all of his bridges with Disney during the TRoS fallout.

Agents of Shields connection to the rest of the MCU is weird and interesting. After the Middle of season 2 or so, it’s basically in its own little pocket continuity that occasionally mentions things that happened in the movies, but that’s about it. There’s no possible way half the stuff just Coulsons team alone deals with wouldnt get commented on by the of the Avengers constantly, and early on, when it ties in to the movies, it does it really effectively (show does a lot more with Dark World than the MCU ever did, squeezing three completely unrelated episodes out of it) but after Winter Soldier came out, that was it for even trying. An early episode tries to connect to the finer points of the movies directly, but just about every piece of it wound up being completely contradicted to what the movies did with those plot points later.

An early episode has, as its inciting event, a Swedish diamond exchange decide that the most discrete and safe way to transport a number of highly valuable gems through a crowded city be to dress up hundreds of people in suits and creepy masks and have them March through the city like an Eyes Wide Shut Flash Mob

Everyone is shocked that this was noticed by the civilian populace after the teams resident Non Spy points out that this is a really weird thing to do

I love Agents of SHIELD

If Sony/Marvel can close a deal with Tobey Maguire, he'll be back too.

Emphasis added.

I could take or leave the rest, but I solemnly swear to mark out for Tobey.

If Emma Stone also returns (Twitter's abuzz with rumors) it HAS to be as Spider-Gwen, right?

I was gonna say no but then I remembered the version of her in the Garfieldverse is dead and then I thought, maybe

I'd like to see Spider-Gwen/Ghost Spider as a general rule, and unless they want to have a teenage version, Stone would be the obvious choice. But also, while I don't exactly want a retread of Peter B's arc in this apparent Live-Action Spider-Verse, Garfield-Man dealing with his grief and multitudinous issues regarding his relationship with Gwen (especially if Tobey-Man somehow, miraculously, salvaged his relationship with MJ) could actually make for a compelling character arc that justifies HIS inclusion beyond "look! We got all the Spiders!"

I don’t lay the blame of how much I disliked the ASM movies on Garfields head, so having him back with a even remotely competent script and director, either of whom grasp what makes Spider-Man work would be... very gratifying.

I just realized y’all are talking about Andrew Garfield and am mourning the 15 seconds or so where I thought we had a universe where Garfield the cat is Spider-Man.

EDIT: Ninja’d by two people!
