Nord and Bert Couldn't Make Head Nor Tail of It?
A little late. I had to eat dinner!
This explanation might contain spoilers. I tried to avoid them but you know it's the nature of this game. If you have not yet played Subnautica please do so before reading this post! It's one of my all time favorite games.
1) This got off to a bad start - The game start's with your ship having been shot out of orbit and crash landing into a planet
2) I hope you remember your Maslow's - It's a survival game and your first priority is going to be water then food then shelter
3) This might be Paradise if it wasn't killing you - The island is stunningly beautiful but the local fauna is also not the friendliest
4) In so many ways! there's also some sort of virus/disease that has infected you
5) Someone is coming to help! -an early task to is to build a beacon and send out an SOS
6) Welp, they're dead now. - When you do the people who get and respond to save you also get shot out of orbint
7) Bigger, faster, deeper - In order to advance the plot you must build bigger, better, faster submarines in order to more fully explore a deep underwater cave complex
8) Where am I going to find THAT?! - Some of the resources you will be tasked with finding are gold, titanium, some sort of uranium stand-in.
9) The scanner will probably help... - The scanner you start with is one of the primary verbs you will use in the game that indicates what resources you can get from various flora, fauna, and structures in the game. It also allows you to get new blueprints and logs that progress the story along.
