  1. Smoke 'em if you got 'em
  2. A little bit of topical translation "humor" - but not in the game.
  3. Who designed this place?!
  4. It's definitely not OSHA compliant.
  5. Mine, mine, mine.

You must be lauging and not a decoy because you got it, Octopus. (The specific game I hand in mind was the NES version.)

  1. Smoke 'em if you got 'em
  2. A little bit of topical translation "humor" - but not in the game.

  4. It's definitely not OSHA compliant.

  6. Watch your step.
  7. Was it that hard to find the power switch?
  8. It's all in the cards.
1. You carry some cigarettes with you throughout the entire game and they only have a use at the very end.
2. The box and manual mention a "Colonel CaTaffy" who does not actually appear in the game.
3. The enemy base definitely applies a lot more video game logic to its design than real world logic.
4. In addition to the stuff in #6 there are also rooms full of poison gas.
5. There are land mines that you have to avoid but you also get some that you can use as a weapon.
6. pit traps, land mines and electrified floors - oh my!
7. At the end of the game you use plastic explosives to turn off (destroy) the enemy supercomputer.
8. You use different key cards to gain access to different places in the enemy base.

  • Maybe not the best time for a lunch break.
  • You're an animal!
  • But not the only one.
  • Tell the boss off - with a rocket launcher.
  • You're not a chef but you do want to get more stars.
  • What's the frequency?
  • The origin of a faithful and reliable companion.

1) The first in a trilogy.
2) Choose one of four playable characters (an option that's a bit uncommon for this genre)
3) Wait, the lead character has a collection of photos? That can't be right...

5) Despite graphical limitations, one character still has a blue jacket.

7) The game that came before this one was a hit. This game more coolly received. The final one didn't even get a wikipedia page.
