Yes, finally yes. I guess I'm the only one here who has played a Witcher game 😅

To get into the main area of the game, Vizima, you gotta solve the mystery in the outer village which amounts to a monster manifesting from the shittiness of all the villagers.

Many questline rewards are cards with pinup, often nude, images of the female characters in the game. Wouldn't really fly these days...

The game all the NPCs in the world play is called Dice Poker, pretty similar to Yahtzee

The final sword in the game is a sword of legend you get from a dryad. In the next game, you start with it and it quickly becomes obsolete!

An ancient event called the conjunction of spheres is why monsters exist in this world. Also, apparently, humans? Elves and Dwarves are the true natives to the world.

SPOILERS: you look after a child with elder blood powers throughout the game. At one point he disappears. Turns out he sent himself back in time and became the main villain of the game you're currently playing! At the end, he conjures an illusion of the end of the world you explore.

Geralt holds his two swords in the oft maligned and historically inaccurate position of vertically on the back. You can't actually draw your sword when it is positioned like that!

The novel author famously declined a stake in the franchise when CDProjekt Red took the rights to the property for the use in their game franchise.
