The Video "Game"

1. An earthquake!
2. Wait, this is not Earth.
3. And it's not even the same dimension as Quake!

1. E A R T H Q U A K E ! ! !
2. Wait, this is not Earth.
3. And it's not even the same dimension as Quake!
4. That isn't true of the (better known) sequel to this game, though.

11. Guns. Lots of guns. Wait, no, there's only like four.

Duke Nukem 2
Yes!

1. E A R T H Q U A K E ! ! !
2. Wait, this is not Earth.

Some levels have quake events, prompting these messages.

3. And it's not even the same dimension as Quake!
4. That isn't true of the (better known) sequel to this game, though.

It's still a 2D game, unlike Quake and its own sequel, Duke Nukem 3D.

5. This game technically features voice acting.
The intro has Duke saying "I'm back". That's the only voiced line in the game.

6. The main character may have trouble spelling his own name.
There are letters spelling NUKEM in each level; collecting them all gives a score bonus, but you get a larger bonus for collecting them in order.

7. Didn't stop him from writing a book, though.
He's promoting his book, "Why I'm So Great", before being abducted by aliens at the start of the game.

8. It just goes to show: you really should always bet on him.
"Always bet on Duke" became a meme about the vaporware status of Duke Nukem Forever.

9. Soar over obstacles and burn your foes to a crisp! (while supplies last)
The flamethrower weapon found in some levels can be used like a jetpack by firing downward in the air. It's ammo is limited, though.

10. This game technically does NOT feature Oprah Winfrey.
Duke was established as an Oprah fan in the first game, and the second starts with him on a talk show with a hostess who looks just like what an early 90s VGA version of Oprah would look like, but they never say her name.

11. Guns. Lots of guns. Wait, no, there's only like four.
The basic starting gun, the aforementioned flamethrower, a laser and a rocket launcher. There's also a ship you can fly in a few levels that has its own weapons.
