The Top Video Game Consoles Mini-List Submission Thread

Here at Talking Time we have a passing interest in video games.

So let's rank our favorite devices that we use to play them.

To participate message me a list of up to 25 of your favorite video game consoles numbered like the following:
1. (your most most favorite video game console)
...
25. (your least most favorite video game console)

If there's anything you want to share about your picks then please place that after your final pick. Lists are due by Friday May 9th.

If you are asking what qualifies as a video game console for this Mini-List then here are the ground rules:

• The device must be made primarily for playing video games.
• The device must be capable of playing more than one game. A device that can play only one game or variations of the same game doesn't qualify.
• The console must have been actually released - so no vaporware.

Are y'all counting variations as their own thing? eg: Switch vs OLED Switch vs Switch lite? Because I think I'm doing that.

Personally I don’t think I’d count a revision as a new console unless it has noticeably different capabilities or games. Like, I could definitely see a case for DSi as it has its own small library of exclusives that don’t work on earlier DS models. AFAIK that’s not the case for the Switches. But in the end I assume as per usual we should all just go with our guts!

Please remember that it's not necessary to submit a full list of 25 consoles. In fact, so far I have not received any lists of 25.

Yeah, incidence is points, and after 19 I decided there were no more consoles that I wanted to grant any points to just for the sake of filling out the bottom.

I always try to fill the lists out but I only got 16. It's fine. It's a mini list

I thought about making a longer list, but decided to cap my list at a nice even 10.
