Yep. It was a popular comic in the 50s. The movie by Amicus, who kind of made a little killing with horror anthologies in the 70s (it even had a sequel, the Vault of Horror which features Doctor Who Tom Baker as a villain).

The first story is All Through the House (the story where a woman who kills her husband is plagued by an escaped maniac dressed as Santa), one of the best stories from the comic. I actually think it's an OK segment but it was redone nearly 2 decades later with a far superior episode by Robert Zemekis, who makes it both more comedic and more tense and that makes the twist so much better in that version.
