Nintendo is doing something unprecedented today; Indie World plus a Partner Showcase all in one 40 minute duo presentation!

Legit surprised (but not that surprised, given stuff like the Kunio collection) that the SNES Super Dodgeball sequel is getting dropped here.

The Turbo Tunnel is a minor obstacle!

Also they kind of cheesed it with the DD villains so we got a really off model Abobo and a knight-themed Bane for the Shadow Boss.

Also IIRC, Machine Gun Willy was called Loper?

Ah, I've always wanted to play Battletoads/Double Dragon. Was disappointed they never made it happen for Rare Replay.

First snes game I owned and the only one I ever sold to the local rental place.

I could never get anywhere without cheat codes and if you use those, the end boss just calls you a loser and kicks you to a game over screen when you get to the end stage. I guess I could try again now that I suck less at video games

I am really glad that games shitting on you for chosing easy mode is finally phasing out. Took a really long time though since Cuphead was still doing it only 7 years ago. Celeste is the first game I can think of that made a point of wanting people to enjoy it however they would like without shame.

I forget what it did. Didn't it just gate off access to some of the game? Or am I thinking of something else?

I gotta admit, being able to lower the difficulty has been a godsend for Marvel vs. Capcom Fighting Collection. I can't enter directional inputs with the precision I'd like on the Switch Pro Controller, but bringing down the difficulty has helped negate that issue considerably, and I'm just enjoying the game in a non-competitive way until the Xbox release comes out.

That sucked for me. While I'm decent at Contra, that game kicked my ass in short order, so I couldn't really get anywhere.

I was gonna make a comment about the Satellaview F-Zero games not being available on Switch, but they just added 5 out of 10 of the tracks from there to F-Zero 99 today.

I also would 100% count F-Zero 99 as a new F-Zero game. I have been generally enjoying F-Zero games since the SNES, and 99 is the first it felt like the promised F-Zero since the start of the franchise. Other F-Zero games were great, but 99 was the first I felt like it really was a massive, future "death race" as opposed to the story just being a framing device to explain why it is so easy to die in a grand prix.
