The Genie Ripped Aladdin Off

When you're a parent, you end up watching a lot of the same movies on repeat a bunch. And so inevitably, your mind starts to wander into picking at the plot threads and noticing plot holes.

I don't want to plagiarize too much from other sources (
https://existentialcomics.com/comic/277 ) but it is kind of weird that Aladdin wishes to be a prince, and then soon after both he and the genie are in agreement that he's not a prince.

But Aladdin isn't necessarily all that nice to his friends, his first instinct after "Friend Like Me" is to manipulate and trick the genie into whisking him out of the cave. Abu clearly doesn't enjoy being an elephant either but he doesn't ask Genie to do anything about that either.

Also, something else I've noticed is that at one point Iago has possession of the lamp but doesn't even try to steal any wishes for himself. What a good friend.
