So i've been rereading the entire stormlight archive this summer, and it kinda blows my mind how deeply interconnected he has made all of the books, with tropes like metals spanning the different planets and secret groups running around in the background crossing the planes. you almost need a wiki open to read!

I've been waiting for Sanderson to complete the series before I start reading it. (Burned too many times by too many authors at this point. Though Sanderson is such a machine that I'm sure he'll deliver.) But, I'm not a fan of literature that is so dense that I need to take notes or reference third party resources. I just don't have the bandwidth for that anymore. I'm not up on everything in the Sanderson-verse but are you saying that the Stormlight novels and the Mistborn novels are linked?

They take place in a larger interconnected universe with a common origin for the various magic systems in his fantasy works. There's some interconnective tissue like certain characters jumping around the settings in the background, but the series can be read interdependently (though this might change deeper into Stormlight).

Rhythms of War has perhaps the most blatant instance of a character appearing in another book which is the only place to get context for it, but even then it’s just A Weird Sword, so context isn’t crucial

not just Mistborn, but Warbreaker, Elantris, various short stories, unpublished works, and that graphic novel series he did.

Sanderson is a fast writer, but Stormlight probably won't be totally finished for at least twenty years.
