A bit late to the party, but just wanted to post that you're not alone, @Purple, I played this game and liked it quite enough, even if it did feel a bit unfinished or that something was lacking: biggest disappointment was the much advertised "magic tricks interface", which is there, yeah, see the img from post #143... but it's basically the preparation steps following a guide, then the trick is performed off screen with the protag saying it's done, no real time sleight of hand sequences or up close camera or anything.There is! It's quite good too, once you realize there's an in-game journal deal really hidden in the UI which explains whatever weird urges are motivating your character at a given time. And it is extremely opaque if you, somehow, go through like 85% of the game before you realize that's there.
