I can't tell if having the middle guy's face clearly modeled after a real person -- and only the middle guy -- is better or worse than if they'd all been.

“Hey, it’s my old friends from the future, Tiny Sasquatch and Deathbot! Come on through that portal and have some soup!”

Do we think Tiny Sasquatch actually has arms, or just pseudo-wings? (I'm voting for the winglets.)

This is a particularly excellent series of images, even in a thread full of excellent images.

That iguana one is borderline Lisa Frank to me and I love it.

Yeah, I can totally see that. It just needs, like, ten percent more neon-colored rainbows.

What are they trying to achieve here?

My guess would be “trying to stop a mysterious alien probe from blowing up the Earth,” but I might just have seen Star Trek IV too many times.

So I googled the name on the saxophone, Mark Wickart, which appears to be the illustrator, and the two other works I found by him were an extremely 80s-looking werewolf and a Lucky Charms cereal box cover. Also he was once profiled in Airbrush Action Magazine. This all pretty much tracks.

Yes, that extremely tracks. Thanks for letting us know, Kirin!

And you didn't think to share them with us?

The Lucky Charms is pretty forgettable

The werewolf has some energy, but is pretty much the early 90s ideal of a werewolf

However, y'all's nagging led me to finding more. Here's another work for hire, a Chester Cheeto with some seriously unhinged vibes and even more airbrush...

This next one, though, this one actually belongs in the thread maybe. It's a cover specifically for the Lynx reissue of an old Atari game:

Some serious Tron-meets-Lisa-Frank going on in here.

The striped ground in front of the tank keeps making me ask questions. Why? There's no reason. And yet.

The dude in the middle has saved the Earth from destruction by introducing aliens to chocolate ice cream, and you can see from his expression that he knows it.
