We used to have one of these, I don't think we do now. Well... we didn't. Now we do, because I'm making it.

TIL there was a Q-Bert commercial with a fake Rod Serling narration over it. (Also in this video is an Atari commercial with Santa on a space ship and the Alan Alda Atari PC commercial).

Anyway, back to ads. This one is recent and more of an MS ad than a specific game, but I like it:

I love this spot for Super Mario World. No bad jokes, no in-your-face attitude—just this optimistic statement on the visible promise of a new generation of games. "And suddenly, the world is a more exciting place to be."

Phantasy Star IV's commercial is grand, and the best quality I've seen it in is probably in this My Life in Gaming video about the series, as they presumably direct-captured the footage from Phantasy Star Collection for Saturn which includes the Japanese commercials in its bonus materials.
