Redactle, the daily ████████-█████ ████████ puzzle

I got another one shot today entirely from the first sentence, which I'm pretty proud of! I saw that the subject was a "[seven letter word] [four letter word] to [three letter word]", and I figured that the four letter word was either "made" or "used" since I knew the word after "to" had to be a verb. The first seven letter word I could think of that would be made or used to do something was "machine", and once I had that, I figured the three letter word was almost certainly "sew".
Nice. We took 62 to get it, but about 30 of those were my bad guesses because I was convinced it had something to do with the navy or ship building for some reason.

17 today, 82%. Once I narrowed it down to being an Indian language I did look up a list of those, but also slapped my forehead once I saw the answer because I really should have gotten it on my own. Oh well!

Following up yesterday's 17 with a big old 207 today, yowza. I got poison and toxic at 173 and 174 respectively, and it still took me 33 more guesses and a lookup for something more specific to realize the more general word I had completely overlooked and finally nail it down. Yikes!

54 today with an exact 2/3 accuracy (20 guesses of which were the numbers 1-20), which was surprising given how lost I felt at the beginning. Should've paid more attention to the formatting, too, I could've potentially had it much sooner.

265 today, and that's AFTER getting a hint at 206. Woof! I don't know if my normal stable of words just didn't hit on anything, or if my mind was just refusing to go in the right direction, but goddamn.

I somehow managed to get my train of thought on a closely related subject relatively quickly and was able to get the answer in 57 (64.91%). But I did have to search for a list of terms to get the title word once I had a good idea of what the broad subject matter was.

126 for me today, but I had a pretty tough time with it. I got music at 56, which sent me down a rabbit hole of instruments and other musical terms. My music school background got the better of me today, I guess.

(Sep 26th puzzle) Saw the characters 𐀇𐀸 and 𐀇𐀺 were uncovered (at least on Redactle Unlimited) and while I absolutely didn't recognize them as Greek I think that helped my brain go in the right direction. Father, god and ancient were the guesses that got me there, got it in 12.

Oh man, I didn't see any of that uncovered on the main site. Took me 74 I think to home in on it the old-fashioned way. One weird thing that led me astray was that Bible was one of the hits, referring to there apparently being two mentions of Zeus in the Bible.

This was my exact experience, I got there in 67.

I went off on an even worse tangent for yesterday's - it took me 90 guesses to get the answer.

In an amusing coincidence I got today's answer in the same number of guesses as the current Global Median (82). But my accuracy was worse.

I didn't get to do yesterday's before the site crashed, and Redactle Unlimited seems to have had a different puzzle (one word answer). The hell.

Buh? I went to Unlimited yesterday when I couldn't get to the regular site and its daily puzzle had a one word answer. I dunno!

My girlfriend did it on the main site before it crashed and she said it was a two word answer -- the consensus seems to be that after the main Redactle site went down, the daily puzzle on Unlimited changed to a different one for some reason. So that explains the differing experiences!

Got today's in 4 because of the failure to redact pretty major terminology, particularly, the word "opposite" and also the opposite of the title later down. Would've had it in 1 if I'd seen the redaction failure before I started guessing. Ahhh, well.

I think the same thing happened to most people (including me).

You solved it in 19 guesses
