13 guesses for me, but I had to look up physical chemistry as well. I would not have known the answer on my own.

I also got today's answer in 76 guesses (but with 57.89% accuracy). When I entered it I wasn't really even sure if it was actually a thing but autocorrect accepted it so I went with it. I did look up another item to narrow things down but I didn't look up the answer so I feel pretty good about figuring this one out on my own (more or less).

I am incredibly surprised this is in the top articles*. 26, also I'm kind of surprised differential equations didn't show up at all. Anyway, guessing water (31) got me in the general direction, then reaction (48), ions (26) and equation (15) cemented that it was p-chem of some kind. I got a little thrown off since thermodynamics had zero hits, but now see that thermodynamic and thermodynamically are in there, oh well.

*Something of interest I learned on the day it was down and a lot of people migrated to redactle-unlimited is that no one can seem to figure out exactly what lists this is pulling from. A few people have been digging and none of the entries so far match the major top 10k lists, and the issue with the discombobulation page made things more confusing.

58 today with 79.3% accuracy. 11 of those guesses were single letters once I saw that there were equations with variables, which didn't actually directly contribute to my solving. What DID contribute to my solving was seeing next to one of said equations the mysteriously-revealed phrase "waste heat given off to a cold reservoir" despite my not having guessed any of those words. Once I saw that, the last word of the answer clicked in my head, and once that was confirmed the rest of the title was immediate.

Got it in ten today, which was nice after taking about a hundred each for the last few. I had no clue initially, guessed a few things at random that got no hits, tried body thinking it might be an anatomical thing, which it wasn’t but once I had that word revealed the answer came to me.

July 16th- Shoot, assumed I wouldn't know the answer at a certain point and gave up too early. Uncovered that it was a mosque in Istanbul at guess 28 and immediately assumed I wouldn't know it. Threw out a couple random terms before giving up and looking up famous mosques in Istanbul, as soon as I saw this I kicked myself, totally could have gotten it without cheating.

130-something for me (either 133 or 135, I'm not at my desktop to check). Didn't get to Roman until 80-ish guess, and then I had to do some wiki-cheating about Roman emperors. Eventually I got to Turkey and that helped close it out.

64 for me. I thought it was some sort of archaeological site for most of my time on it, and I was thinking a bit further east. Eventually I hit on Turkey, from there Istanbul, and from there it was the only thing I could think of in that city with the right number of letters.

75 today, which was really 73 because I had two instances of typing too fast along the way (one guess where I dropped a letter, one where I accidentally doubled a letter). I got "force" by 25, and "momentum" at 33, but I didn't get "angular" and "rotation" until 63 and 66 respectively. Then I kept guessing other things while I remembered the rest of the name.

26 today, I spent more time guessing what the answer wasn't. After vaguely knowing it was some kind of science-y thing, I 360-no-scoped the answer on a lucky guess based on letter count and knowing that it started with a vowel.

Is it me, or have we gotten a ton of physics/chemistry related topics lately?

Four of the last five would make it seem that way. That said, there are a LOT of terms and topics in that group, so it would be easy to draw them. But I imagine it's still random, it just happened to line up for a short time.

31 for me, I wasted guess 30 on magnet which I was only guessing because I thought the answer might be electromagnet, which it was.

15 guesses, 86.67% today. Dunno if I just got lucky but my first two guesses after looking at the first sentence were physics and particle. I was on the right track (...I think?), having guessed antimatter, because the word "opposite" wasn't hidden throughout the weird. I didn't actually know the word in question off the top of my head, but when I saw something like "particle and __________" and the letter count fit "antiparticle" I decided to try it. I was surprised to hit the title.

That said I was HOPING to get this in under 10. I FELT SO CLOSE

24 for me, but I had to look at the Wikipedia page for particle physics because the answer was not a term I'd heard before.

I got seventeen - had a typo and again guessed a word only to confirm the answer, so without those wasted ones could have been fifteen. Oh well.

July 19th- Went too technical too quick and uncovered a billion things other than the answer, finally had to look it up. Why I decided to try to figure out the k-lines before any sort of useful name is beyond me.

July 20th- For this one I intentionally went off script for funsies and just guessed bacteria-based diseases until I got it. This was pretty far down the list. I figured it out after uncovering tetanus (5) and pertussis (2) as part of the vaccine (8) , I know the DPT vaccine so got it from there although I did have to look up spelling.

Today I got that it was a disease by my 7th guess and a bacterial one by 10th, then I just kinda flailed around filling in words to see if it could clue me in until I finally got it at guess 133, partially by looking at a list of diseases to jog my memory. I knew that one but likely wouldn't have put it together or remembered from the details on my own.

66 here. I got penicillin at 22 and infection at 26, and then flailed around trying to find diseases treated by penicillin.

90 for me. I had bacteria at 39 and disease at 42. I struggled a bit from there. Eventually I started naming diseases with vaccines and there it was.

80 today. I knew that it was a fish people farm/eat by 55, then I was trying to narrow it down from there. Once I had carp I had to look up the scientific name.

I also had to look that up. (81, 46.91%) I didn't figure that first part out or try that second word until guesses 76 and 80.

I didn't do all that great with diphtheria - 116, 37.93%. The singular/plural threw me off.

I did incredibly well with antiparticle - 7, 85.71%. I think I might have been able to use fewer guesses but I wanted to check a couple more words to be sure before trying the answer.

59 today. My first significant hit (even water only had 3, none too helpful) was fish at 45. I poked around and hit on carp at guess 58, realized the title was the scientific name for the family and looked that up.

56 today. I was flailing, sure it was something to do with Native Americans for a while, until I had uncovered enough mostly-incidental stuff that I guessed "team" out of the blue at 50. It was easy to run it in for a touchdown from there.

45 here, similar problem. I thought it was going to be something arts-related, but sports at 37 got me the rest of the way.
