I think the worst medal to get was the one for getting all the fairy skills, because of all the food you have to grind for. Even with the surprisingly snowball mechanic that shows up with fairy personality stats, it's just a pain. Maybe it'd have gone faster if I just focused on a single fairy instead of doing what I did, which is start by getting the infinite MP and infinite SP skills on one fairy of each element. C'est la vie.

I gotta be honest here. I realized that I was just plain not having fun forcing myself to play with characters I didn't want to and sub-par weapons to unlock skills, etc, just to craft the perfect weapon for all the characters - that I gave up and just used a save editor to give each character a lvl 4+ 5-star 8-slot weapon.

I unlocked them all legit, but my enjoyment of the game went up once I removed that bit of homework from it.

I simply gave up on that particular grind once I realized that there wasn't a single boss in the entire game who dies noticeably faster to an eight-slot weapon than to a seven-slot one. And there's no medal for it, anyway.

I got 750 8-slot weapons for everyone - I had to stop and grind after unlocking a new weapon tier but there's a good grinding map on Koholint I think? One of the 'stop the enemy merger' maps, Light element recommended. I'd stick the character I was grinding for in slot 1 (with even a crappy stars/slots weapon) and use Zelda with her rapier for slot 2 (also stars/slots) with a rank-up potion in effect. Zelda can melt everything in that map with her powered-up C5 (the big triforce energy beam) and since there's a lot of captains you get a lot of opportunities for weapon drops on top of the guaranteed weapon you get for the character in slot 1. I don't really like playing gacha with weapon skills so I pretty much filled up everyone's 8 slots with farming skills - EXP, Rupees, Stars, Slots, Food, Materials, Element, and Heart Power (with EXP replaced with Legendary for capped characters)

I'm still grinding my perfect weapons (and using the KO unlocks to farm specific drops for badges).

If you're farming materials, remember that you get double materials in all stages in the Twilight Map, making it perfect for getting those last few pesky Ganon's Manes.
