So with a couple exceptions, since 1970 you've got a 50 episode show per year about a completely different guy, generally with their own entire continuity unrelated to everything else. Since at least around 2000 or so, it's been pretty common to have at least one other character who's doing the whole somewhat bug-like armor thing as a traditional Rival type/member of a team/doomed soul unwittingly signing up for some kinda battle royale deal, and since 2000 at the latest, it has ALSO been pretty standard practice that every character have somewhere between 4 and 40 different trinkets to insert into their belts switching them into different forms with different attack loadouts or so. And there was even a weird distressing escalation from 2009-2011 increasing the number of gear slots on the belt, with W having this whole punch/melee/gun + fire/metal/curving 2 slot setup, OOO slotting different animal tokens for head/senses, hands, and feet, and Fourze being completely absurd with a different power-up going on every limb,
all of them bonkers and unwieldly.
