Random food ads continue to be random.

I emailed Arby's about making a card game playmat a few months ago. They shot down the idea but were receptive to the idea. I'd rock those sweats, ya'll are being haters.

I know it's Halloween, and that plenty of movie serial killers have worn them, but those ceramic "rosy-cheeked children" masks are too terrifying even for this season.

Unfortunately seeing that coming a mile away doesn’t really make it any less horrifying.

Last Christmas I saw a rather clever ad for Pepsi, being a fairly subtle joke about their competition:

Searching for it now, I found that it's possibly a new take on an older, slightly less subtle, but still funny ad:

Bet they can’t get away with having the Coke logo visible in their ad these days...

For some reason the Japanese fish industry song got stuck in my head today. You hear it in supermarkets a lot. I found this likely machine-translated website that claims to have info on it but based on some of the clearly off translation can't be sure what is correct in the article.

Link below goes straight to the chorus because I am 90% sure most stores in Japan only play the chorus over and over and over and over.

Edit: Well, it would go to the chorus if embeds worked, but it starts at 44 seconds

Works for me.
Congratulations, you found something that’s blocked *less* in Canada!

Nice to see my Japnese has gotten refreshed enough I can follow the chorus easily. Granted, it’s probably written to be comprehensible to kindergarteners.

Do random alcoholic beverage ads also count?

(Note: You might want to turn down your speakers before watching.)
