Considering they're owned by the same conglomerate I'm surprised it took this long.

Same.

And I've been waiting for like 30 years for someone to try putting fried chicken on a pizza, and Pizza Hut seemed like the most likely candidate, so I'm in on this.

After how poorly they handled contactless delivery a year ago, this is clearly their big play to pull me back in. Well f'n played.

If putting chicken on a pizza is the Avengers*JLA version of the crossover, what's the JLA*Avengers counterpart? Replacing the crunchy layer of the chicken with pizza dough and cheese?

Isn't this something that was already done in Japan? (Or am I just thinking of corn on pizza?)

I have no idea how I would physically eat half those things (without disassembling them completely and/or making a huge mess).

I imagine you put it in your mouth and hope that most of it makes its way in there and stays down

Every single one of those items are both incredible and disgusting at the same time.

The cheese fries look good, but the rest varies from wildly impractical (the cosmo) to ...why? (the skewer thing)

Yessss that's why it's ingenious.

Like, you're putting cheese sticks *inbetween* cheese in a grilled cheese sandwich. It's so dumb. Also, what if we put sugar on top of our overly sugary drink?

It's been so long since I've been to an actual restaurant I can't tell this apart from a shitpost any more

There is a whole cottage industry of Japanese media that's about getting foreigners to dress up and act weird for commercial purposes. And on the one hand, it's pretty weird and also probably racist. On the other, LOL

Heck, if someone wanted to pay me money to cosplay on camera for 30 seconds while holding food, I'm there.

Someone at Oscar Meyer's ad company must've seen this toast bed image that was making the rounds a while back and liked it.

Meanwhile, though, that is just Too Much Sandwich Meat. I don't understand why people make sandwiches piled so high with lunchmeat you can't fit your mouth around it, nevermind it also totally ruins the proportions to the other ingredients.
I mean, okay, in this case I realize it's because the ad is trying to sell meat, but I mean in general.

Yeah, I'd say about half of that might be preferable for a big appetite. Then again, there is the smush factor, too...

So are you saying that you don't like double meat?

(OK. That is way more than double meat. Also, does anyone other than a food stylist ever put lunch meat on a sandwich like that?)

I usually fold in half with actual deli meats (since the slices are typically a fair bit longer or wider than your average sandwich loaf), but the S-curve folds are typically only done in food stylings because it gives volume and looks good.
