Pluto TV

In case anyone else didn't learn about this, over the last...I have no idea, how long this site has been around. Everyone else probably already knows about this site, but maybe there is someone left, who missed it.

Basically, it is a free internet streaming site. A legit one, no viruses or anything, and it's legal. The stuff there is pretty old, though.

There are different channels, and they just leave stuff running, and if you want to catch it, you have to be there when it's on. Like TV, back when it was relevant. These channels generally show one show, all day long. I have watched a ton of Hey, Arnold and Clarissa explains it all, but there is also stuff like Star Trek, Avatar (TLA and Korra), cats 24/7 (cute cats all day long) and dogs 24/7 (cute dogs all day long), Spongebob, and channels with documentaries or sports.

The catch is, that there are commercials, but they tend to be short. I don't really understand them, though - they only show other stuff that you can watch on the site. They can't make money with them.

Plus, there are on-demand shows, like old Dr. Who shows or the whole of Daria (well, five seasons, I guess that's all?). If you are curious, Daria is still a lot of fun.

Oh, there is a MST3K channel, too.

I've watched a bit of this on my PS4 and it's not bad, although the "commercial breaks" are pretty frequent and will often occur mid-sentence or at other inopportune points.

All I know about Pluto TV is that it came preloaded on my smart tv, I'm not really sure how to disable/uninstall it, and it's very obnoxious when I hit the wrong button on my remote and it boots up when I don't want it to. Which admittedly isn't very frequent at all, but just enough for me to resent its presence. I also hear they've got a Star Trek marathon channel, but that's a really sub-optimal way of watching Trek for me when I have on-demand solutions that don't feature ads.

There's some good content in this tier of free streaming service. I do enjoy the 24/7 MST3K channel personally, as well as some of the cartoon ones for my kids to enjoy. There's also some neat international channels!
