I went through a phase of these in high school, with Treasure of the Rudras, Bahamut Lagoon, Live A Live, and Romancing SaGa 3 emerging as firm favorites. Now that we have the latter in English on Switch, I was kinda hoping Square would give the others a chance, but seems like they're just going to keep going with SaGa games instead, alas.

Though hadn't heard about the trademark filing! Potentially exciting.

Finished the Mecha chapter, starting the Cowboy chapter, which is the last one of the 7. I'm really seeing why NoA didn't think this one was a game they wanted to localize at the time, given their policies. Also, I love the different font for each chapter. It really is too bad NoA was so restrictive, this game has so much personality.

There is a lot of walking around, but you get punished for running away too much if you're not ready. And you won't be ready for the final boss if you haven't done everyone's stuff. Which involves walking around. Also, certain dungeons are stupidly arcane.

I finished the game, and it was very good overall, but still kind of a mess mechanically. A remake that addresses a lot of the issues would be wonderful. Still, I'm glad I experienced it.

mostly i was just asking because there are like three separate things that could be described as the final chapter but yeah a lot of the character dungeons are really bad
